This case study describes the solution xyztec found in order to enable a customer to test glued or solder interconnections on a coating at temperatures up to 175\u00b0C.<\/p>\n<p>The temperature requirement in itself was nothing new for xyztec, which offers <a href=\"https:\/\/www.xyztec.com\/products\/customization\/\">heater work holders that can go up to 500\u00b0C<\/a>, but this customer wanted to test multiple kinds of carriers with sizes of over 50 centimeters squared. This had never been done. Automated testing was also a requirement.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.xyztec.com\/products\/customization\/sigma-heated-stage\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-5661\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5661\" src=\"https:\/\/www.xyztec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Sigma-heated-stage.jpg\" alt=\"Sigma heated stage\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Quick and uniform warm-up<\/h2>\n<p>Xyztec adapted the <i>Sigma W12<\/i>\u00a0and equipped it with a rotating 13500W 518x513mm heater stage that can uniformly warm up your sample to temperatures up to 175\u00b0C. With 27 heater elements in 7 different control groups it quickly warms up its aluminum table and customer sample with an accuracy of less than \u00b15\u00b0C. The table was designed to remain extremely flat and to deliver a perfect vacuum even at the highest temperatures.<\/p>\n<p>Triple heat shieldings around the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.xyztec.com\/features\/rmu\/\">Revolving Measurement Unit (RMU)<\/a>\u00a0protect the inner workings of the bond tester against prolonged high temperatures. A Windows<sup>TM<\/sup>\u00a0based temperature controller with various heating profiles gives the user complete flexibility. Multiple heating profiles can be configured and stored.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.xyztec.com\/knowledge-center\/large-heater-stage-on-sigma-w12\/condor-sigma-w12-heater-stage-temperature-controller-big\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-11884\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-11884\" src=\"https:\/\/www.xyztec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Condor-Sigma-W12-heater-stage-Temperature-Controller-big.jpg\" alt=\"Sigma W12 heater stage Temperature Controller\" width=\"990\" height=\"610\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Cooling down rack<\/h2>\n<p>With the high accuracy bond tester comes a sample carrier and cooling down rack to make the handling of the large (hot) panels easy. The carrier can be positioned accurately before testing and then safely cool down after the automatic tests.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.xyztec.com\/knowledge-center\/large-heater-stage-on-sigma-w12\/calibration-jig-on-sigma-with-heated-stage\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-11898\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-11898\" src=\"https:\/\/www.xyztec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Calibration-Jig-On-Sigma-With-Heated-Stage.jpg\" alt=\"Calibration Jig\" width=\"770\" height=\"884\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Full automation<\/h2>\n<p>To be able to test all of the sample area the large rotating heater stage can move to four fixed rotation positions and automatic testing is easily programmed by the engineer. All the flexibility that customers have come to expect from xyztec, including vision corrections, are also available.<\/p>\n<h2>Calibration station<\/h2>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.xyztec.com\/products\/sigma-w12\/\">Sigma W12<\/a>\u00a0can be\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.xyztec.com\/features\/calibration\/\">calibrated<\/a>\u00a0without having to remove the large heater stage making daily checks a simple task.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.xyztec.com\/knowledge-center\/large-heater-stage-on-sigma-w12\/condor-sigma-w12-large-heater-stage-with-12-inch-round-carrier-big\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-11891\"><img
